These are actually pictures from a practice called Chindogu or “unuseless” inventions.” The idea being that an individual must create an invention that is entirely useful, but slightly off, combursom, socially awkward, and isn’t truly practical. It is considered an art. One is not allowed to release the invention as an actual invention.

It is interesting, I try to practice it myself.

There is a book out with a bunch of chindogu inventions.

heres a website for more info:

On the picture ? 1 you can see a cigarette like packaging with toothpick rod. This model consists of tubular paper. Sheath 7-9 mm
diameter intending for hermetic packing of tea. It is made of uncondensed sort of paper and one end of tubular sheath is filled with dry tea mass and wooden toothpick rod with handle for mixing is inserted also from this side. Loose end of tubular paper sheath is oppressed around the handle of toothpick rod. The length of sheath may vary from 80 up to 100 mm depending on the tea mass of one packaging. The tea mass must fill up no more than 50-60 % of tubular sheath volume.
The suggested model is compact by it’s construction and convenient
in using. The toothpick rod ensures enough hardness during intensive stirring of tea. After the tea brewing, the toothpick is drawing up from tubular sheath (pict.2) and the pressure is going on.
Then, wooden toothpick is detached from it, strong in the touch of cone shaped (pict.3). Cigarette like packaging of tea is cigarette-sized and it may be packed in 20-40-60 in similar packet of cigarette boxes. Technology of this model is easy and automated.
